What you can expect
When you come to a Swing Kat Swing Dance you can expect one night of high energy fun! Though half of our crowd is normally high school age through
30 years old, the other half can range from 30 all the way to 91 years of age! This is definately an activity the entire family can enjoy! The styles of dance
you will see at our Swing Dances are Jitterbug (sometimes mistaken for East Coast Swing), Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, Collegiate shag and even
Foxtrot. On nights we have LIVE BANDS our crowd size increases and the energy goes through the roof! If you have never danced before and are looking
for a good place to start, swing dances are definately a great choice. The reason is that you can learn to do one dance style like the Jitterbug and dance
to every song played in an evening. This is great for those who want to do a one time fun activity with their friends as well. Our Swing Dances have a very
friendly enviroment and those who come become like family. Come by yourself or with a group of friends, either way you will have a great experience!
Friday Evening Swing Dances
At our Friday evening Swing Dances you will find the crowd we consider family. Those who we see at all of our swing dance events. Our crowd is very friendly
and helpful. You will never feel out of place or embarrassed. Instead you will be welcomed in as part of the family! Our Friday evening swing dances are mostly
DJ'ed. With your admission you will find light refreshments and a great beginner Jitterbug dance lesson. With this one lesson you will find yourself ready to
dance the night away! If you already know your basic Jitterbug steps, consider signing up for our Friday evening lesson series which starts an hour before the
evening's events at 7pm. Every 2nd Friday of the month we have the most amazing in house band lead by Drew Nugent!
Admission: $12.00
Full Time Students with ID $7.00

WHEN:
These dances occur on 2nd & 4th Fridays of the month plus when there is a 5th Friday in the month! always check our CALENDAR PAGE before driving out.
TIME:
Lessons- 8:00 to 9:00pm, Dance- 9:00pm to 11:30pm on DJ'ed nights and until midnight when our in-house band is with us.
Saturday Evening Swing Dances
Our Saturday evening Swing Dances are held with LIVE BANDS and are the BIG EVENTS of the month here at Swing Kat. We have two special Live Bands a month
and only one a month during the summer. Again our crowds are very friendly and you will feel right at home the first time you come. With your admission you will
find light refreshments and a great beginner Jitterbug dance lesson as well as a lesson for those who know Jitterbug.

Tuesday Evening Swing Dance Lessons
Our Tuesday evening Swing Dance Lessons are for our hardcore swing dancers. If you are serious about learning swing this is the night for you! We offer two
1 hour long lessons. The first is a beginner level lesson and the second is for those who have taken the beginner level lesson for that particular dance style
before. Each costs $45. for the full 5 weeks! ($9. per lesson)
